 at the zoo the same time I was visiting New Orleans.

Of course, the show was amazing, her energy 

fully charged and her warmth overflowing.

The Sketchbook Project Begins!

Learn about The Sketchbook Project that The Brooklyn Art Museum is hosting. There is still time to join up and have your work in the permanent library at the museum! (submissions now closed)

Just received my book and have started with the cover... wish me luck!

Making progress, using acrylic paint, stencils, stamps...

 Now just have to finish the other sides, then decide if I want to paint or stencil images onto each page.
I can't wait to see what they will look like once they get assembled!

Oh man, time is running out- this book is due at the end of April, I have so much stuff I need to do, I hope this gets finished in time!  - thought I'd start it out with Miss Nina Simone a true source of infinite inspiration.

This one is still a work in progress- funny how I painted it around St. Paddy's day.
(oh man, I'm so glad I chose to have art house co-op digitize my book, they'll do a great job of photographing these images.)
